Eagle Point at Grand Canyon West

The vision of the Skywalk is to enable visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls, becoming surrounded by the Grand Canyon while standing at the edge of the Glass Bridge. Finding a balance between form, function and nature, the bridge gives us a chance to share the wonder of the canyon that the Hualapai Tribe has graciously offered. Upon completion, the Glass Brideg will be suspended more than 4,000 feet avobe the Colorado River on the very edge of the Grand Canyon. Open 2006!

The Official Public Opening Of The Skywalk - March 28, 2007!

InnerSpace: listened but got no chance to read it. they are REALLY efficient and right now the complex will also include a museum, movie theater, VIP lounge, gift shop, and several restaurants including a high-end restaurant called The Skywalk Café where visitors will be able to dine outdoors at the canyon's rim. wah, amazing really! can’t imagine that just 5 months time the adv board can turn into a skywalk complex -_____-“!

according to the officalwebpage+Wikipedia’s update, it’s done almost and have to go thru several final testing before its opening on 28Mar07 to the public. The cost is around US$25 but I don’t’ think it values to be re-visited just because of the skywalk. I have captured several short videos while my last trip as attached and hope it can 望梅止渴!

Ride a Mule

Mule rides into the canyon have been popular since Bright Angel Trail opened in 1891. To take a mule trip, you must be in good shape, not visibly pregnant, above 4' 7" tall, weigh under 200 pounds, and speak and understand English. Ask for information on suggested attire. A water "bag" is provided at check-in. Reservations are essential as mule rides can be booked well in advance, but visitors may place their names on a daily waiting list for cancellations. For further information, check at Bright Angel Transportation Desk or call (303) 29PARKS (297-2757). Note: To avoid cancellation, prepaid riders must check in the day before, or before 7 a.m. (summer) and 8 a.m. (winter) on the day of the trip.

Overnight Mule Trips to Phantom Ranch: These memorable trips to one of the canyon's loveliest spots, Phantom Ranch on Bright Angel Creek, offer glorious canyon vistas. Overnight trips depart daily from the stone corral at the head of Bright Angel Trail. Riders spend the night in ranch cabins and awake to a home-cooked breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also provided. The first day's ride takes five-and-a-half hours; the second day's journey takes four-and-a-half hours.

One-Day Mule Trips: These popular one-day mule trips to Plateau Point depart daily year-round (8 a.m. summer, 9 a.m. winter) from the stone corral at the head of Bright Angel Trail. Descending about 3,200 feet to the Tonto Platform and Plateau Point, you can view the Colorado River 1,320 feet below. This trail takes approximately seven hours round trip. Riders should check in the day before at the Bright Angel tour desk.

Three-Day Mule Trips: From mid-November through mid-March, three-day/two-night mule trips to Phantom Ranch are offered. These allow you more time for relaxation during your stay at Phantom Ranch. All details as above.

Overnight Mule Trips to Phantom Ranch sounds appealing. thx for your details and sharing here. :)
i did see this tour while my surfing last time but to us it’s somehow a bit harsh and time is not allowable actually. definitely I will re-visit and join this ride if I live somewhere in NA.
