Practice HOPE

Practice HOPE. (Norman Vincent Peale) While there's life, there's HOPE. (Terence) HOPE is a good breakfast but a bad supper. (Francis Bacon) Nothing is as simple as we HOPE it will be. (Jim Horning) We must always have old memories and young HOPEs. (Arsene Houssaye) To travel HOPEfully is a better thing than to arrive. (Robert Louis Stevenson) A sailor without a destination cannot HOPE for a favorable wind. (Leon Tec, M.D.) What we HOPE ever to do with ease, we must learn first to do with diligence. (Samuel Johnson) HOPE arouses, as nothing else can arouse, a passion for the possible. (William Sloane Coffin, Jr).We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite HOPE. (Martin Luther King, Jr.) Creativity comes from trust. Trust your instincts, and never HOPE more than you work. (Rita Mae Brown) The only person you should ever compete with is yourself. You can't HOPE for a fairer match. (Todd Ruthman) There are no HOPEless situations; there are only people who have grown HOPEless about them. (Clare Boothe Luce) Appetite, with an opinion of attaining, is called HOPE; the same, without such opinion, despair. (Thomas Hobbes) Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to HOPE for. (Joseph Addison) I HOPE that while so many people are out smelling the flowers, someone is taking the time to plant some. (Herbert Rappaport) HOPE is the thing with feathers, That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all. (Emily Dickinson) All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, HOPE. (Winston Churchill) I HOPE I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man. (George Washington) Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There's so little HOPE for advancement. (Charles M. Schulz, Snoopy)

Incidentally, the first and the last one hit me most. The Snoopy one is the reality, while "Practice Hope" is the most practical reminder. Thanks for your sharing.

Xiaozhu: exactly!!! Give you TEN this round : )
life is never easy and frustrated most of time but hope helps comfort our heart somehow though it may be just a minor one like little Snoopy. A little advancement daily is also a push to live better. life needs hope and hope needs to practice. A positive thinking always helps, add oil ~

新鮮:不用對不起, 希望不就是在彩虹裡嗎? :)

嬲記: 哈哈,雖然明日已是假期,但期待的心而又發現真假期,幾開心? 生活真的要點hope,那怕袛是一點點 :)

pema: sign! as ziaozhu commented that statement is a reality. we can't expect much change from our life but a little hope though it just a little does encourage to certain extent somehow. :)
