Swan Lake, for which Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky composed the music, is a dramatic ballet receiving worldwide attention and applause for it’s excellent composition.- Story -
The fairy-tale plot of Swan Lake revolves around love between Prince Siegfried and a beautiful Princess Odette. The Princess is under a spell cast by the wicked sorcerer Rotbart: she will be transformed into a swan everyday and reassumes to human form at night. Only the absolutely faithful love of a man can break the spell, and at the end Siegfried's love for Odette triumphs over the forces of evil. The lovers are united in life after death.
However, even such great piece of ballet it failed when it was first staged in Moscow in 1877. Later Lev Icanov and Marius Petipa then choreographed a new version. Their Swan Lake was first performed in 1895 at the Maryinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
The piece of Swan Lake: Theme of the Swans gets good melody and sounds great played by various musical instruments. I did it today with my flute at home with a very slow rhythm but a light sorrow feeling comes up? Just doubt it’s my mood plus the outside rain. Maybe I have to practice more in order to catch the tone of theme soon. Once a week?

I tried to play it with my flute too but my technique is not good. I have the CD which does the accompaniment. It's fun though.

Ruth, more practice it is better skill you arm then, and sure nice melody ends up soon. U2, add oil lar..(even so I am lazy)

I must admit I love piano and dancing more than flute. I learned flute because of the elegant look of holding it. Knowing how to play a few songs is a plesant by product. :-)
